Year 1

Planning and resources will be uploaded daily, which will include three tasks. These will differ every day and your child is expected to complete these. Some of the lessons will include mild, hot and spicy tasks. Please choose which you feel would be most appropriate for your child's ability. 

At the end of each day, it would be great if you could update us with how your child has got on with the tasks and any additional tasks they may have completed.

Year 1 daily diet


In addition to the three tasks highlighted in the daily planning please include the following into your day. 


Phonics - Please use the following website link to access Read Write Inc. Phonics lessons where the children can access the sounds we are learning at school. Most children will need to start from the set 2 sounds 'ay'.


Reading - Please use the following websites to access online books; and, as well as their active learn primary account. Their login details can be found in the front of their blue reading records and the school code is arhw.


Counting - Continue to practise counting in different ways with your child as this in an important skill that helps them with lots of their maths work. You can practise counting forwards and backwards in ones from different numbers. You can also practise counting in twos, fives and tens!


P.E - Joe Wicks will be providing workouts on his youtube page from 11th January. His sessions will be live on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but can be accessed at any time.  


Handwriting - Children can practise their letter formation using the videos on the link below to support them. Please ensure they're starting in the correct place and sitting the letters on the line. 




Music - Use the following link to access units that have been set, as well as a wide range of songs and music.
