Travelling through time
The Stone Age
We had a fantastic afternoon to start off our new Theme on the Stone Age. We built our own shelters, made bow and arrows, had a go at archery and used logs as a travel system. Have a look at the fun we had.
Stone Age Dig
We had a go at being archaeologists this week. Using equipment we carefully looked through the soil to see what artifacts we could find. Together we found an assortment of items that gave us clues as to what people ate during the Stone Age.
Stone Age clothes staining
We used strawberries, blackberries, orange, beetroot and raspberries to stain fabric. Do you think this is what they did in the Stone Age?
We have had another great time in Forest School participating in a variety of Stone Age activities. These include; making bows for arrows, traps for animals, lighting fires and toasting bread and archery.
We have been looking at houses from the Stone, Bronze and Iron Age. In our table groups we made Iron Age Hillforts.
