To begin with ask your child to highlight or list the different alternative sounds they spot for igh in the advert.
These will be:
igh - fly high
ie - flies on my pie
i-e - nice smile
Your children will have learnt the above during our phonic lessons in school. There will also be:

Then read the following words to your child for them to spell, selecting which alternative spelling from the list they created.
Handwriting
For handwriting please practise using the words you spelt during Phonics. Please see below for some examples, look carefully at the sizing of the letters and where they sit on the line. The rhymes individual letter formation can be found on the main page.
