To begin with ask your child to highlight or list the different alternative sounds they spot for ee in the postcard.
These will be:
ee- what can you see?
ea - cup of tea.
e-e - Pete the athlete
Your children will have learnt the above during our phonic lessons in school. There will also be:
ey
e
ie
Then read the following words to your child for them to spell, selecting which alternative spelling from the list they created.
Handwriting
For handwriting please practise using the words you spelt during Phonics. Please see below for some examples, look carefully at the sizing of the letters and where they sit on the line. The rhymes individual letter formation can be found on the main page.
