For the next few lessons, you are going to be working with fractions and decimals...
Today, you will need to choose one page from the starter activity (1 star, 2 star or 3 star) and colour in/write what the fraction is of the shape. You will use this sheet throughout the lesson, so keep it safe!
After you have done this, have a think about the difference between unit and non-unit fractions - you could get an adult to write some random fractions down, so that you can name them correctly.
Once you feel confident with this, have a think about what equivalent fractions are and see if you can write some equivalent fractions for the fractions you named on the starter activity.
