Hope, Skip and Jump

Welcome back to school after working so hard with your remote home learning.

Our first theme back is titled Hope, Skip and Jump.

We are all hoping for a great return to school, as well as hoping for great things in the future. We have an excellent skipping workshop to look forward to, where you can use your skipping ropes that were provided by school to support you during remote home learning. We also want to jump on with our learning, by learning all about ourselves and our feelings.

To start our new theme we have learned all about what is in our bodies, and what those things are for, such as our skeletons and joints.

Here are some pictures of our skeletons.

We have had lots more fun activities to complete too! These include, skipping, cooking and painting. Check out what we have been up to!

We also wrote our hopes for the future in a bottle, and did some collaborative art.

This week we have been looking at the book 'Rain before rainbows', the children have loved really looking deeply into a book and what the illustrations and the words can represent. They have created some fantastic art based on colour, emotions and rainbows.

We have been learning all about plants and their life cycles. To conclude this we carried out some interpretive dance, in groups, showing seed dispersal. Can you tell which type of seed dispersal the children are showing?
