Bishop's wood trip
Year 3 had a fantastic time travelling back to the Stone age. They had to make A-frames to carry their belongings from one place to another, they then had to use stakes and mallets to make holes in the ground to support their willows to build shelters. They also all had a go at using a flint and steel to make fire, threw 'spears' to hunt animals, gathered items to find food, helped knot fishing nets, used a grinding stone to make flour that could be used to make bread, and weaved willow to make fences.
